The plans are detailed in John Gardner’s “Building Small Craft”. This is a classic design but built lapstrake instead of carvel planked. The planks are 1/4″ epoxy glued, okume, marine mahogany plywood with 3/4″ overlaps that are epoxied together. This yields a strong but lighter weight boat. The inside is free of multiple frames so the boat is much easier to keep clean and varnish when needed. This particular combination makes for a very pretty boat that will get you lots of compliments!
The transom, stem, rubrails and keel are of sepele mahogany, the seats are white pine. The whole boat is epoxy coated then varnished 3 coats. The exterior bottom is painted with alkyd enamel marine paint.
