If you know Phil Bolger and his nautical designs, you would never guess this traditional sloop design is one of his. But it is! He was paid to design a mini Friendship Sloop and the lines are traditional and beautiful. We have sailed her for about 6 years but I am always working on a new boat and it’s time we let her go.
She is planked with 9mm okoume marine plywood, glued lapstrake style. The transom, trim, gunwales are made of sepele mahogany, the seats are white pine. She has a steel centerboard of about 70 lbs so you can fearlessly run aground with no worries of damage! We have sailed her in many regattas and wine and cheese cruises and you can always count on her to get lots compliments.
