The Old Towne Canoe Company built many thousands of these, with steamed cedar interior frames and canvas exterior cloth over red cedar planking.

I did steam bend the frames and use the red cedar but my exterior skin is fiberglass for its durability on oyster shells.

In the end, it’s hard to tell the difference.
